Welcome! Here’s what’s new at Craniumkitty.
I came up with this thought while I was pregnant: expecting parents (and grandparents!) are so excited about their baby's ultrasound pictures, but the images are printed on that unattractive and curling thermal paper. How about cute little envelope frames you could put up on the fridge or on a cabinet at work, but are sweet and nice enough to be a keepsake? A presentation more worthy of their content.
A graphic designer by trade, I got right to work. (Well, my baby was nearly two before I had the time…but that is about as “right to work” as you can be as a mom sometimes.)
My sonogram frames are letterpress-printed on a beautiful, shimmery, cover stock paper. I meticulously hand-assemble each one. On the back, they have a strip of magnet and a spot to write in the pregnancy week number or due date.
The frames are a fun yet practical way to display and keep those exciting first pictures. Also great as a little congrats for an expecting mom instead of a card, or even a cute way to announce the news to friends and family. Then, after the baby is born, these little frames slip easily into a journal or scrap book. Smart Design!
There are six designs presently, with more on the way. Hope you like!
